"Actively" Involved?
We can offer you 2 levels of involvement:
- By joining the Active List,
you become a part of a very relaxed way of helping the PTA.
Volunteers are always needed to help run our events and as there are
no meetings to attend at this level, we call upon you as and when we
need a hand. If you like meeting other parents and feel you
would like to help us, this is a great way to start. Please
contact the Chairman for further
information.
- Being on the Committee
requires the commitment of approximately 6 meetings a year, plus
actively helping on at least 2 subcommittees which organise our many
events.
Currently
we have 12 parents & 9 members of staff on the committee. There
is a good mix of both male and female and a good cross section of parents
and/or teaching staff with and without children at school.
Parents and teachers are elected on to the Committee once a year, at the
AGM in the autumn. We are restricted to around 25 members as this is
the maximum the drawing room table can sit if everyone attends. There
is no time limit for members to serve on the committee and we welcome new
members who wish to join us at our AGM, in the autumn. Contact the Chairman for further information.
